Today's High: My walk with Cetelia. We had an extended walk, and oddly for the second straight night, saw a skunk. I wanted to get some video of him, but decided it would be a stinky decision to get closer.
Today's Low: Sitting in church 40 MINUTES after the preacher finished preaching (for announcements, offering, and presentations).

a. For the first time since I've been in Texas, I actually spoke about marriage to a marriage ministry. I felt rusty, but it was good to actually be doing something marriage-related. One lady told me that she could have listened to me "speak for hours." That made the Ol' KBB feel good.
b. After church we ate lunch at Boston Market. It has been a while since I had that experience. I still love the rotisserie chicken and corn. Mmmmm!
c. Cetelia, the girls, and I all had a nice long nap today. I've not been sleeping well lately, so it was good to get some rest for several hours.
d. After the nap I took everyone to Sonic for shakes. For the record, the healthy one in the family did NOT have one.
e. I shared a loooong text conversation with AOM. I think it was good & encouraging for both of us. During the texting we wound up sharing the video of "That's What Friends are For." I've sung this ing for years, but it didn't dawn on me until tonight that Stevie Wonder had the line that says, "...now there's so much more I see."
f. After returning home, Cetelia and I took a walk, and watched a few minutes of Duck Dynasty.
Lessons Learned
1. I don't have to have all the answers. During the Q&A period at the marriage event, I was asked several questions. While I can handle the heat from these sessions, I like to remember that I don't have to have all the answers. It's perfectly fine for me to say, "I don't know." or to open the question up to the group. I love the saying, "All of us are smarter than one of us."
2. There's no distance in the spirit. A great woman named Lamonica is fond of saying there is no distance in the spirit. I've found that to be true. While I miss seeing family and friends physically, when I email or talk with them, I can feel their presence, and God is still able to minister to me (and to them).
